    To save money

    • If you’re coming to the end of an existing deal and about to go onto your current lender’s Standard Variable Rate (SVR), it’s certainly worth checking for other deals. You many find one that offers a better rate and reduces your monthly payments or choose one that helps you to clear your mortgage more quickly

    To invest in your current home

    • If you’ve outgrown your current house but really don’t want to move, then you can remortgage to raise the funds to let you make improvements, such as an extension or loft conversion

    To release equity in your home

    • If you’ve lived in the same house for a while and have some equity built up, then remortgaging could allow you to get access to that money

    Our mortgage advisers are on hand to help you complete your application form. Once we have accepted your application, you will be sent a Mortgage Offer, which confirms your acceptance and includes a full illustration of the mortgage costs and terms.

    Help with legal work and fees

    With most remortgages, there is some legal work involved. We can arrange this for you (usually free of charge). There will also need to be a valuation of your property – again, we often carry this out for you free of charge (see individual products for details).
