As a mutual organisation we’ve always believed in doing good together and in 2011 we launched a brand new community programme. We called it Doing Good Together because it means exactly that – joining in and helping to support valuable work being done in our community. Just like our original founders back in 1849, our desire is to truly make a difference to people and communities local to us, helping them thrive and become more prosperous – we support education, housing, employability and financial capability for local people across our community.In January 2011, staff at The Nottingham selected Framework as our fundraising partner. Framework are based in Nottingham and work throughout the East Midlands in supporting and preventing homelessness and offering routes to employment. The charity supports over 8,000 clients a year with accommodation, housing support as well as ‘walk in’ services and education, volunteering and employment help. Most clients are aged under 35 and up to a fifth have mental health needs.
