Different for Angela
For 175 years, Nottingham Building Society has supported people like Angela – a retiree and business owner, who first heard about Nottingham Building Society in 1957 whilst working with a playwright who had visited us for help to fund his first play. The support we gave helped launch both of their careers.
In 1989 Angela came to us with a dream of opening a theatre company for people with disabilities, inspired by her youngest son. Nottingham Building Society guided and supported Angela and still does to this day.
Being actively involved in the community we are passionate about funding the arts and giving people the confidence and support to make amazing things happen in their lives. These are the stories that define us.
Angela doesn’t fit the typical mould
In fact, if you put her in a mould she’d jump right out. Most likely dancing the cha-cha.
That’s why Angela’s been a member for over 50 years. Because we don’t do moulds. Or boxes.
We support different. The dreamers. The entrepreneurs. The be-anything-you-want-ers.
