The Will Writing Company went into administration on 15th February 2018. 

Unfortunately, we had no notice of the closure or guidance from our partner but we moved quickly to communicate the issue to our members. We were later advised that

The Philips Trust Corporation had purchased the assets and database of The Will Writing Company and The Family Trust Corporation.

Although we have no direct relationship with either of those organisations, we supported our members experiencing issues and helped with a number of cases including helping identify where documentation was not attested and even working with members through the Solicitors Regulation Authority compensation scheme.

Philips Trust Corporation

On Friday 22nd April 2022, we were advised The Philips Trust had also gone into administration. We recognise this is a distressing situation and are extremely disappointed in the lack of resolutions for those impacted and for the conduct of Philips Trust.  

Our immediate concern is identifying if any of our members have unresolved issues in relation to this and to ensure they are being supported by us as best we can. Members needing support can contact one of our branches or call our Customer Services team. It’s important to point out that as we have no direct relationship with the Phillips Trust, we can’t provide direct advice to members or intervene on behalf of members with Philips Trust or its administrators, but are trying to support where we can.

We understand that Kroll Advisory have been appointed Administrators of Philips Trust Corporation Limited as of 22 April 2022 and the administration process is ongoing. They have provided answers to some FAQs on this site also.
