Ashbourne gathering unwanted items so youngsters can collect great memories

Unwanted board games, clothes and toiletries are just a few of the items being collected by our Ashbourne branch to help raise funds for a charity who work with disadvantaged children.

Our building society and estate agency team are gathering the items – donated by members of the public and colleagues from across The Nottingham – to donate to the charity CHICKS.

They are a national organisation that arranges breaks for youngsters at their three retreats - one of which is located in Fenny Bentley, just outside Ashbourne.
Building society manager Sian Harris said: “We are collecting items for a fantastic organisation that relies entirely on fundraising, so if anyone would like to bring anything on the list into branch they are more than welcome to do so.”

We are looking for contributions (which must be in good condition) of:
  • Books
  • Clothes (aged between 8-15, boys and girls)
  • Puzzles
  • Board games
  • Toiletries
  • Sports equipment
  • Craft supplies
  • Outdoor games

The branch can be found at 12/12a Market Place, Ashbourne, DE6 1ES or contacted by calling 01335 210 544.
