Chesterfield branch sparkle for charity
Kind-hearted colleagues from our Chesterfield branch swapped business suits and brogues for t-shirts and comfortable shoes to walk through the night and raise £250 for Ashgate Hospicecare.
The team - Donna Bramall, Susan Holland, Stephen Low, Vicki Sheldon and Emma Whild – completed the 10k ‘Sparkle Walk’ circuit that started at Chesterfield FC’s Proact Stadium.
All sponsorship money gained by pounding the streets in the shadow of the crooked spire until 1am will go to the hospice, which provides care and support for patients from across North Derbyshire and their families and carers.
Building society manager Emma said: “We pride ourselves on being at the heart of the community here at The Nottingham so taking part in the Sparkle Walk was an absolute no brainer for us, especially as it was to raise money for such a fantastic cause.
“It was a brilliant event that saw lots of people from across Chesterfield and beyond come together and ‘enjoy’ the walk, even if we were all a bit bleary eyed at the finish line!”
