Competition win falls right into Graham's lap

A new laptop is on the cards for Graham White after we turned up on his doorstep to hand over a £500 early Christmas present.

Presenting the 77-year-old with the cheque at his and wife Pam’s house in Tickhill near Doncaster was especially apt as he landed the money simply for taking a no obligation home insurance quote at our Worksop branch.

Dad-of-one Graham, a qualified accountant and former company managing director, scooped one of 16 prizes, totalling £8,000, we are giving away up until 24 December.

Graham said: “We arranged to go through a home insurance quote with Julie (Seaton) at the Worksop branch of The Nottingham because we already have savings accounts there.

“She made us aware of the competition at the time but of course you never expect to win - I don’t think Pam and I have ever won anything.

“I thought it was a scam when I was first called to say I’d won but when I realised it was true Pam and I decided we will now get a new laptop, something we’ve been talking about for a while. It can replace my old desktop computer that is just about on its last legs!

“We were first attracted to The Nottingham a couple of years ago due to extremely competitive savings rates and now we visit the Worksop branch about once a month on average.

“It’s always a really friendly and professional environment to be in and there’s excellent customer service that doesn’t exist in many places these days - last time I was in they even asked me if I wanted a cup of coffee, which I thought was very impressive indeed.”

The home insurance ‘win £500’ competition runs until 24 December and anyone who takes out a quote in-branch or at online will be in with a chance of winning.
