Matlock branch team up with Gladiators

The Matlock branch of The Nottingham and Harrison Murray Estate Agency has the goal of being at the heart of the community – and their sponsorship of Matlock Town Football Club is a great example of putting that into practice.

Building society manager Sian Harris and estate agency manager Paul Westmoreland visited The Gladiators’ Autoworld Arena for a photo-shoot to celebrate the link-up.

The Nottingham and Harrison Murray’s support for the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier outfit means they now feature on pitch-side advertising boards, have an advert in the match day programme and will be ‘silver sponsors’ at their home game against Darlington in March.

Commenting on teaming up with The Gladiators, Sian said: “Like Matlock Town Football Club, we pride ourselves on being right at the heart of the community in which we are based so this is a very natural link-up.

“Since opening in June we have been well received by the people of Matlock, who have told us they are delighted to have a branch which they can come into for all their building society and estate agency services and products ‘all under one roof’.”

Paul added: “Matlock is a very close-knit community and the football club is right at the centre of it. We are delighted to team up with The Gladiators and look forward to some of our success as part of the country’s ninth largest building society rubbing off on them as they head into a busy period of fixtures and look to move up the league.

“We introduced Harrison Murray to Matlock earlier in 2015 and have enjoyed great success engaging with the community and helping people onto, or to move up, the property ladder in the town and surrounding areas.”

The Nottingham and Harrison Murray’s involvement was welcomed by Matlock Town chairman and commercial manager Tom Wright, who explained: “Local sponsorship is hugely important to clubs of our size so we really appreciate The Nottingham and Harrison Murray showing their support.

“What makes this relationship so special is that The Nottingham pride themselves on being a prominent and important part of the local community, and the same applies to us as a football club. It’s a fantastic partnership.”
