When you first join us you will have an induction plan to ensure you are fully supported in those first few weeks and months. The Induction Journey is the starting point of supporting our people in their first two years through a clearly structured development pathway – and our one induction workshop, ‘Insight’ is crucial to that journey to ensure new colleagues will:

- Integrate into the business with confidence
New branch based, building society staff will have the opportunity to attend the ‘Shaping your career’ course which is a blended learning approach including a training folder, self-study packs, e-Learning and workshops including Cashiering Skills, Sales & Service and Estate Planning Lead Generation.
New estate agency staff will have the opportunity to attend the ‘Building your career’ course which is a blended learning approach including a training folder, e-Learning and three workshops covering all aspects of the role of sales negotiator. In addition, all colleagues are able to come to bite size workshops which include personal developments skills and more practical based skills. We have self-study packs covering the same subjects for anyone who can’t make the workshops or prefers to study in their own time.
Management Milestones is The Nottingham’s leadership development programme. The programme has been designed to support People Managers in identifying and pursuing their development needs. It involves the use of workbooks, questionnaires, skills workshops, e-learning and complementary coaching sessions.
We support the attainment of professional qualification. Support can be demonstrated by the meeting of costs associated with studying a Professional Qualification, study leave or time to complete your exams.
Each year every member of staff is invited to attend the staff conference where the senior team inspire and motivate our people by engaging and involving them with our business plan and purpose, leading them to deliver excellent performance. It is also an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the achievements of the last year.
