Smoove panel management
Nottingham Building Society has appointed Smoove as its partner for solicitor panel management. The solicitor your client wishes to use needs to be registered on the Smoove panel before you submit their mortgage application.
You can call our intermediary enquiry line on 0344 481 0029 and choose option 2 to check if a firm is already on the panel.
Why selecting the correct solicitor matters
When a mortgage application is submitted, Nottingham Building Society will automatically instruct the solicitor selected within the application. It’s really important that you choose the solicitor your client has formally appointed.
Getting this right at the outset helps keep the whole process efficient and reduces the risk of delays and mistakes.
If your client’s chosen solicitor isn’t on the Smoove panel
Solicitors who aren’t registered with Smoove will need to complete the panel application process. This includes submitting:
- A completed Smoove panel application form.
- A valid Professional Indemnity (PI) certificate.
- Their most recent PI proposal form.
- Practising certificates for all partners.
Once submitted, the solicitor will receive a confirmation of receipt and a reference number for their records. After Smoove has completed its assessment and verification checks, they’ll confirm which lender panels the firm has been accepted onto and share the relevant terms and conditions.
