Promotions and changes in our Intermediary team

Nottingham Building Society strengthens intermediary sales team as it prepares to bring new products and propositions to market

Nottingham Building Society has announced a series of promotions across its intermediary sales team ahead of bringing new specialist residential lending products and propositions to the wider market in the second half of 2026.

The changes have been designed to further strengthen support across the Society's clubs, networks, and key account relationships, while Beckie Morton, who is part of the Sales Senior Leadership Team, temporarily takes on an increased strategic focus supporting the go-to-market planning for the Society's evolving proposition pipeline.

Leading the changes across the team, Samantha Watts has been appointed to a six-month secondment as National Account Manager. Reporting to Matt Kingston, Sales Director, she will work alongside Beckie to support strategic broker relationships and help drive delivery of the lender's priorities across its intermediary channel.

A highly experienced field Business Development Manager, Samantha has supported brokers across the South West since 2022. As part of the transition, Amirah Alyaus will become the named contact for the region, providing continuity of support for brokers and intermediary partners.

In addition to that, Ami Cammack has been promoted into a field-based Business Development Manager role, having spent over a year in the Society’s telephony team. Her new role will see her lead the growth and development of the Central region and marks her fourth promotion since joining Nottingham Building Society in 2023.

Elsewhere, Lucy Smith has been promoted from Intermediary Support Officer to Telephone Business Development Manager, supporting brokers across the London region, while Rachel Bridle returns to the sales team following maternity leave.

The appointments come as the modern mutual continues to expand its intermediary proposition. During the first half of 2026, the lender introduced a series of enhancements across affordability, income assessment, and specialist lending criteria, while continuing to develop its strategy focused on supporting borrowers whose circumstances fall outside traditional lending models.

Matt Kingston, Sales Director at Nottingham Building Society, said: "We are entering an important next phase for Nottingham Building Society as we continue to build a mortgage proposition that reflects the realities of today’s market and the changing needs of borrowers.

"Over the past year, we have been strengthening the foundations across our intermediary business, from the way we support brokers to the products and propositions we are preparing to bring forward. These changes are about making sure we have the right structure, focus, and expertise in place to deliver our plans with confidence.

"There is more to come from us in the second half of the year as we continue to develop specialist residential lending solutions designed to support customers whose circumstances may not fit traditional lending models. Strengthening our sales leadership and account management capability is an important part of setting the Society up for future success."

Jennifer Curry, National Sales Manager at Nottingham Building Society, said: "These appointments are a real reflection of the talent, ambition, and commitment we have across the intermediary sales team. It is incredibly rewarding to see colleagues stepping into new opportunities, broadening their experience and helping shape the next stage of our growth.

"Samantha has made a significant impact since joining Nottingham Building Society, building trusted relationships with brokers across the South West and consistently demonstrating the energy, professionalism, and customer focus we value as a team. Her move into a National Account Manager role is a fantastic opportunity for her to bring that experience to some of our most important strategic relationships.

"I am proud of the way the team continues to grow from within. These promotions show the opportunities available across the Society and the importance we place on developing our people. With Samantha, Ami, and Lucy taking on new responsibilities, and Rachel returning to the team, there is a real sense of momentum and excitement about what we can achieve together."

Samantha Watts added: "I've thoroughly enjoyed supporting brokers across the South West over the past few years, so I'm incredibly excited to take on this new challenge and work more closely with our clubs, networks, and strategic partners.

"There is a huge amount of momentum building across Nottingham Building Society at the moment. We've introduced a series of proposition and criteria enhancements already this year, with more to come, and I'm looking forward to helping strengthen the relationships that will be so important to delivering those ambitions.

"Brokers continue to play a vital role in helping customers navigate an increasingly complex market, particularly where circumstances don't fit a standard mould. Supporting our partners, listening to their feedback, and helping them place more complex cases successfully will be a key focus for me over the coming months.”

Further updates to the Society’s complex residential propositions are expected throughout the year.

Beckie Morton added: "This is an exciting moment for the intermediary sales team and for Nottingham Building Society as we continue to build the capability needed to support our next phase of growth.

"As my role temporarily evolves to focus more closely on the strategic planning behind our proposition pipeline, I am really looking forward to working with Sam in her new National Account Manager role. She brings strong broker relationships, a deep understanding of the market, and a real passion for helping partners find solutions for more complex customer needs.

"There is a clear opportunity for us to build on the momentum we have created this year, strengthen our strategic partnerships, and continue bringing propositions to market that make a meaningful difference for brokers and their clients. Sam will play an important part in helping us deliver that growth, and I am excited about what we can achieve together."
