April’s £500 extra insurance this Christmas

Soon to be first-time house buyer April Ashton is set for an extra special Christmas after she also won a competition for the first time ever - landing a handy cash boost in the process.

The mum-of-three is eagerly anticipating a completion date on a family home in Stoke - which will hopefully be in early December - and has now received news that she has won £500, simply for taking a no obligation home insurance quote with The Nottingham.

April, 27, spoke to our head office Central Sales Team about the quote after she and her partner arranged their mortgage with us too. She has since accepted it and put a bespoke insurance policy in place.

And she was thrilled when she received a call recently to say she was a winner of the home insurance competition, which runs until 24 December in all of our branches across ten counties and online.

April, who was presented with a cheque at our Uttoxeter branch, said: “Hearing that I had won £500 in the competition was amazing - I’ve never won anything before!

“It was such a timely boost too, what with us about to move into our first house. My children can now also look forward to an extra treat this Christmas too.

“It made sense for us to put a home insurance policy in place via The Nottingham for a couple of reasons.

“Firstly, because our mortgage is with The Nottingham and, secondly, because the quote was not just competitive but also the policy is very bespoke and allowed us to tailor what it covered exactly to our family’s needs.”

The home insurance ‘win £500’ competition runs until 24 December and anyone who takes out a quote in-branch or online will be in with a chance of winning. In total there are 16 prizes, totalling £8,000, being given away.
