Keira-Kay’s golden day
Youngster Keira-Kay O’Leary became Sherwood’s golden girl when she scooped a limited edition money box stuffed with £100 in a recent competition.
The ten-year-old won a golden Robin Hood money box – one of only five in existence – simply for opening a Robin Hood Young Saver account at The Nottingham.
Everyone who signed up as a young saver throughout August and September 2015 was entered into a prize draw – and Keira-Kay’s name came out of the hat.
And it was a timely boost for the Nottingham schoolgirl as she is currently recovering from a recent toe operation.
The Nottingham’s Sherwood branch building society manager Gillian Fuller, who can be seen presenting Keira-Kay with her prize, said: “She regularly visits our branch with her gran. They are lovely people and it’s really fitting Keira-Kay is a winner.
“Keira-Kay is currently recovering from an operation on her toes so the timing couldn’t have been better. It was fantastic to present her with the prize and see the beaming smile on her face.
“She is just one of the many young people we are seeing open Robin Hood Young Saver accounts so they can set aside a few pounds each week to help in the future.”
