From medals to marathons

We’ve had a fantastic year for our SportsAid athletes, raising almost £3,000 so far!

Our athletes have also been doing exceptionally well. Long distance runner Amy Griffiths (Enderby), sprinter Julie Rogers (Bedford), judo’s Jodie Caller (Duston), diver Jordan Houlden (Firth Park) and cyclist Charlotte Broughton (Lutterworth) have all been busy breaking records and clocking up medals.

Meanwhile, golfer Coby Cartwright (Leicester), archers Rob Gray (Worksop) and David Phillips (Melton Mobray), skier Molly Summerhayes (Dinnington) and table tennis player Adam Harrison (Grantham) have all donned Team GB and England colours to represent their country.

Each and every penny raised helps these young men and women travel to training and competitions, as well as help them out with equipment costs although it must be said, our branches have had a lot of fun along the way!

Marathons, silly hats and even giant rubber ducks have played their part in getting this far with our fundraising. Take a look at our gallery to see some of the highlights from the summer.
