Newark and Grantham host family fun for SportsAid!

Thanks to everyone who supported Newark and Grantham branches at their recent events to raise money for the charity SportsAid!

Grantham made the most of the sun at the Wyndham Family Fun Day, setting up a table tennis challenge between their SportsAid athlete Adam Harrison and our very own Robin Hood. Adam, who has just returned from Italy where he represented England at international level, has been supported by the branch since the beginning of the year and was on hand to give visitors some coaching tips on the game.

The team was delighted to raise over £100 for Adam through customer donations and 'Spot the ball' competition.

They were followed by Newark who teamed up with the Nottingham Jaguars Wheelchair Basketball team to raise money for their SportsAid star, triathlete Olivia Mathias from Newark. Olivia has been supported by the branch for two years now. As well as 'have a go' activities, they had a tombola and refreshments on sale raising £90.

Thanks to the Nottingham Jaguars for their help and hospitality!
