We donate a whopping cheque to Forest
On Saturday 19th October at the Nottingham Forest home game against Bournemouth we presented Gary Brazil, Interim Head of the youth academy, with a cheque for the Nottingham Forest Youth Academy.
Here at The Nottingham we have a Nottingham Forest Saver Account and each autumn we donate 1% of the total amount saved in the Account for a year to the Academy. This year was a record breaker as we were able to present a cheque for a whopping £38,064! This means that we have been able to give £118,000 over the last five years. The money is put towards a whole host of different things including providing vital kit, up-to-date equipment and training sessions for the Nottingham Forest youth players.
The Academy has made it their aim to recruit potential football stars and do everything possible to help them achieve their full potential. Billy Davis, Manager of NFFC, said of the Nottingham Forest Saver Account: “The message is clear to the Forest fans: get involved, get supporting this very important scheme. If you do then I have no doubt that it’ll help us move our Academy forward at great speed.”
We would like to thank everyone who has a Nottingham Forest Saver Account, as you are the ones that made this happen. Let’s see if we can raise a higher amount for next year!
