Cash for your Community winners announced!

This year’s Cash for your Community campaign with the Nottingham Post and Leicester Mercury has ended with 153 groups benefiting from a share of £40,000.

In April, hundreds of local community groups applied to register for a chance to win a share and over the last four weeks, supporters have collected thousands of votes to get behind their favourites.

Chief Executive David Marlow says ‘We have been overwhelmed yet again by the response to the campaign and really pleased to see so many communities getting behind their favourite local causes.

‘As a mutual building society we have a rich history of helping people to help themselves and Cash for your Community is a perfect example of this.

‘We have seen first-hand the difference these grants make to the lives of local people and remain committed to supporting local communities in this way.’

The top groups for Nottingham and Leicester were presented with their cheques at sparkling receptions at our head office at Nottingham House and our Halford Street branch.
