Derbyshire elf service
Customers visiting our Ashbourne, Belper and Buxton branches of The Nottingham recently were served by some very elf-y members of staff.
The three Derbyshire teams swapped their business suits for colourful costumes on Friday 9 December to help raise the profile of, and nearly £100 for, the Alzheimer’s Society Elf Day 2016.
Behind the festive fundraising was the serious message that Christmas can be a lonely time for families living with dementia - and colleagues wanted to play their part in helping to transform their lives and hopefully get one step closer to a cure for the illness.
Sian Moult, branch manager for the three locations, said: “We are passionate supporters of the Alzheimer’s Society and the great work they do, particularly as several members of staff have relatives who suffer with dementia.
“A group of us recently completed a Memory Walk and raised over £300 for the Alzheimer’s Society. We then wanted to do something a bit more festive when we transformed into elves for a day.”
Colleagues in Ashbourne and Buxton had them-elves a great day of fundraising.
