Evelyn’s a golden girl
Wisbech youngster Evelyn Steele celebrated becoming a teenager by landing a limited edition money box and £100 in a recent competition.
Evelyn, who has just turned 13, won a golden Robin Hood money box - one of only five in existence - simply for opening a Robin Hood Young Saver account at The Nottingham.
Everyone who signed up as a young saver throughout August and September 2015 was entered into a prize draw – and Evelyn’s name came out of the hat.
The Nottingham’s Wisbech branch building society manager David Boyce - who can be seen presenting Evelyn with her prize, watched by customer adviser Tracy Young - said: “It was fantastic to hear Evelyn had won the money and a limited edition money box, and even sweeter for her at a time she was celebrating her birthday too.
“Evelyn became one of the many young people we are seeing open Robin Hood Young Saver accounts so they can set aside a few pounds each week after meeting the Wisbech team – and our company mascot Robin Hood - at a recent fun day in the town.
“Congratulations to her on behalf of everyone here at The Nottingham.”
