Getting behind the UK’s leading enterprise and financial education charity
We’re proud to be supporting ten local schools to build student’s employability skills with the UK’s leading enterprise and financial education charity, Young Enterprise.
Working alongside young people completing the charity’s flagship Company Programme, we’ll be doing our bit with a team of Business Advisers mentoring and sharing experience.
David Marlow, Chief Executive at The Nottingham said: ‘The Nottingham Building Society has a long history of actively supporting local communities. We firmly believe in helping people become more employable, providing skills and training to improve prospects.
‘We’re excited to be working with Young Enterprise to inspire young people in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and helping them to develop the skills they need for a successful future. We believe it is a great initiative which a number of us here, including me, have benefited from back in our school and college days!’
The scheme is part of part the society’s community programme Doing Good Together which has seen staff fundraise £50,000, volunteer almost 1,000 hours and donate £350,000 to local causes since 2010.
