Prize winner Julie keeps it in the family
Happy Julie Bishop is looking forward to an Easter shopping spree to treat her family after a visit to our Crystal Peaks branch resulted in a £500 win.
Julie, from Sheffield, visited the branch when it opened in late 2016, and on opening a savings account was entered into a draw with a chance of landing Love2Shop vouchers.
And recently, having been randomly drawn out of the hat and scooped the prize, the delighted winner took delivery of the coupons.
Julie, 57, said: “It’s a wonderful surprise to have won. Our family will all be together for Easter Sunday lunch and I’m sure there’ll now be one or two nice presents to dish out, rather than just chocolate eggs!
“My daughter Nicole and son Sean will definitely be beneficiaries of the prize as will my mum and dad, who have both been quite poorly recently. I’m hoping to be able to get something for them with the vouchers that will give them a much needed boost.”
A resident in the Woodhouse Mill area, Julie is a regular visitor to Crystal Peaks and is really happy The Nottingham has become part of the shopping centre.
She added: “I visit Crystal Peaks quite a bit and last year when I saw The Nottingham was about to open it attracted my interest as I had been looking to open a savings account.
“I did exactly that and am so happy I did so. What pleases me the most is that by having a passbook I feel like I have more control over my finances and can feel closer to my savings.
“From a location and parking point of view it’s much easier for me to go to Crystal Peaks than into the city centre and every time I’ve been to the branch I’ve found the staff to be lovely and the service to be quick and efficient.
“I’m delighted The Nottingham is in Crystal Peaks - even more so now of course after winning this competition!”
