Robin Hood attends Junior Reds Forest event

Our very own Robin Hood netted a fair bit of attention himself when he joined Nottingham Forest stars in meeting young supporters.

He went to the aptly named Robin Hood Suite at Forest’s City Ground and joined first team squad members as they signed autographs and posed for photos with over 200 die-hard Junior Reds.

The Nottingham attended the signing session event recently to promote our Nottingham Forest Saver account. We also gave out free giveaways such as Robin Hood/Maid Marian face masks, logo bugs and free pens so the youngsters were able to get autographs from their favourite players.

And parents and guardians didn’t miss out too - they were amongst the first people to be given a chance to enter our new exclusive competition and an opportunity to win a signed Forest shirt and football.

The Junior Reds were excited to have their photos taken with Robin Hood and the Nottingham Forest mascot ‘Sherwood the Bear’. However, they were not the only ones as the Forest players themselves were eager to have a photo with the pair, including prolific goal scorer Britt Assombalonga, centre-back Michael Mancienne and head coach Phillipe Montanier and his coaching staff!

We are proud supporters of Nottingham Forest and have been for 11 years. The partnership continues to grow through the Nottingham Forest Saver Account, through which there’s no better way for Forest fans to show their support because for every £1 they save and keep in the account for a year, we’ll give the equivalent of 0.25% to Forest’s Nigel Doughty Academy.

A great example of how well the account helps in the development of young Forest players is through the rise of academy graduate Jorge Grant, who The Nottingham are now proud to sponsor for the 2016/17 season. Jorge has come through the Nigel Doughty Academy ranks and made his way into the first team squad.

He had this to say about the Nigel Doughty Academy: “It is the ideal place to learn and develop the skills needed to progress into the professional game”.

This is why we are passionate about giving Forest fans a chance to help contribute towards the development of young players.

Gary Brazil, academy manager, added: “The support and contribution from The Nottingham and Forest fans alike through the Nottingham Forest Saver Account has and continues to play a significant part in the development of our academy players.”
