Stapleford sales manager Sam takes Nottingham to his heart
Ever since meeting his future wife Hannah whilst studying at Nottingham Trent University, estate agent Sam Barker has had a fondness for the East Midlands city and all it has to offer.
The 24-year-old, who has been named sales manager at the Nottingham Estate Agency (NEA) Stapleford office, originally hails from Lincolnshire but has lived in Nottingham since graduating with a degree in Psychology.
On leaving uni Sam took up a role as a customer adviser with The Nottingham (of which NEA is part) for a year while waiting for Hannah to finish her course. When she did, and the couple began living together in Hucknall, he wanted a career change and became a sales negotiator at NEA’s West Bridgford branch.
A sales manager role at head office followed – which gave vital experience across NEA’s Netherfield, Beeston, Bulwell and Sherwood branches and an invaluable insight into what really makes Nottingham tick – before recently starting at the helm of the Stapleford branch.
Sam, who has had a busy 12 months in which he has become married to Hannah, the pair have discovered they are expecting their first child and have also bought their first property, said: “I’m really looking forward to building the Stapleford office and highlighting to people what we offer and the great customer service we give.
“Being part of The Nottingham is a fantastic position to be in because we offer such a unique ‘all-under-one-roof’ proposition. As well as currently offering free valuations as part of our property services we are able to help with mortgages, insurance, estate and financial planning and savings.
“Stapleford is a really nice place and engaging with the people who already live there, and who want to move there, is key for my team and I. Working closely with our building society colleagues we will endeavour, every day, to show how much we care about being at the heart of the community.”
