Vouching for creativity of local schoolchildren
Five South Yorkshire schoolchildren who created the winning entries in a recent competition have received their prizes.
They attend primary and infant schools in the townships close to our Crystal Peaks branch, all of which had pupils that took part. Over 60 entries were received and displayed in-branch throughout February half-term week.
Recently Robin Hood - our mascot - visited Crystal Peaks to present the winners with a £10 shopping voucher and moneybox each.
They are Scarlett Smith (Beighton Nursery and Infant School), Holly Jennings (Waterthorpe Nursery Infant School), Lewis Harmstone (Halfway Nursery Infant School), Summer Redman (Brook House Junior School) and Melissa Thickett (Emmanuel Junior Academy).
Senior customer adviser Kirsty Thorne said: “We were really pleased with the take-up from local schools and delighted to receive so many vibrant colouring sheets, which attracted a lot of interest in-branch during half-term.
“A big well done goes to our five winners - four of whom were able to make it along to meet the one and only Robin and receive their well-deserved prizes.
“Ever since we opened the branch in Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre late last year we have been received very positively so this was our way of giving a little something back and saying thank-you.”
