Take a look behind the scenes at The Nottingham

Welcome to our virtual work experience. Here we  take a look behind the scenes at The Nottingham, some of the roles that we do and a few of its people. The Nottingham is a mutual which means it has no shareholders and the profit we make is reinvested in the business.

So, who will you meet? Well, let’s start with how we make money – Chris looks after the treasury function which includes managing liquidity (that is how quick the business can convert its assets into cash), lending money on the money markets and also the ‘margin’ or how much we can make on the interest we charge on lending.

We also have a lot of roles throughout the customer journey – Lucie, Ryan, Rosanna and Sandeep work at head office supporting our members and mortgage brokers, whilst Jeremy and Adam work in our branch network.

And there are a whole host of support function roles too… IT, Marketing, HR just to name a few!

You can find out a bit more about some of our roles and the career journeys of our people at our online Career Academy.
