Staff at our North Hykeham branch of the building society is busy getting ready for their big sponsored swim to help their local SportsAid heroine, Maya Westlake.

They’ve already donated £650 to help with Maya’s expenses, but would love to increase this figure to £1000. So, the North Hykeham team, their family, friends and Erin and Phil from head office will be completing a sponsored one mile long swim in a bid to raise the extra £350 to hit their target.

They’ll also be holding a week of activities and challenges in the North Hykeham branch. If you’re passing by the branch any time between the 5th - 9th August, pop in and sponsor one of the staff or take part in their daily games. The actual swim will take place at 7pm, on the 7th August, at the Activities Away Lake which is at the end of Thorpe Lane.

Chief Executive of SportsAid, Tim Lawler told the Lincolnshire Sports: "We’re delighted to be working with The Nottingham to help local athletes realise their potential. Our research shows that funding is without doubt the largest barrier to athletes’ progression in sport and this support will help to provide a timely boost to the athletes and their families."
