Community contribution scoops top prize
We are delighted to have won the Nottingham Post’s Business Award for our ‘Contribution to the Community’!
These annual awards recognise the best of Nottinghamshire businesses in a number of categories with dozens of entries being whittled down to just three finalists in each category.
David Marlow says “This is fantastic recognition of the huge effort put in by our team right across the business to ‘Doing Good Together’.
“I am so proud that we have been recognised for what we see as an important responsibility of being a successful local building society.
“We have come such a long way over the past five years in giving and contributing more to our communities and am delighted that this has now been highlighted by the Nottingham Business Awards.”
Runners up in the category were The Malt Cross and Fiddler and Pepper solicitors whilst Double Impact were named winners in the ‘Not for profit’ category. Coincidentally, Double Impact are one of many that have benefitted from support in the last few years. In 2013, we rented our former head office to them where they set up the award-winning SOBAR, the city’s only alcohol-free venue. The upper floors of the building house Double Impact’s head office and Framework’s central Housing Crisis team.
