Tenacious trio reunite in Uttoxeter
Three financial services experts who used to be close colleagues in Uttoxeter are back serving customers - in exactly the same building that they worked previously!
Mandy Foster, Helen Hartley and Jayne Thomas may now be ‘The Nottingham three’ after joining us but in the past they were Britannia/Co-op staff at the branch on Market Place.
They have now been reunited after we extended our portfolio of high street branches into Staffordshire.
And they have been joined by another familiar face as branch manager Mike Hateley also used to work for the Co-op (based in Buxton).
Customer reviewer Mandy also worked for the Leek United Building Society and has lived in Uttoxeter for 18 years. She said: “What happened with the Britannia and the Co-op has been well publicised and it meant there was heartache - redundancies and of course the closure of branches.
“So it is fantastic that here at The Nottingham we continue to open locations on the high streets at the heart of communities and that we have arrived in Uttoxeter hot on the heels of opening in Burton recently too.
“It is rather strange in one respect for Helen, Jayne and I to be back in the same branch where, combined, we have several decades’ worth of experience. I’m not sure any of us ever thought that would happen but it’s really great to be back working with them and we are really determined to be a success in providing our fantastic ‘all-under-one-roof’ proposition to local people.”
