Cheque-ing in with local homelessness charity
Buxton-based charity High Peak Homeless Help received a welcome boost recently when they were presented with a cheque for £3,600.
The charity was one of nine fantastic organisations across our heartland announced as recipients of Grants For Good 2018 totalling £32,000.
The money will assist High Peak Homeless Help’s drop-in called 'Tuesday Seekers Club', helping towards costs including a phone contract for service users to contact potential employers.
Our Buxton branch has also become a collection point for toiletries and similar gifts – all of which will help improve the lives of local homeless people via the charity.
