About our Hucknall branch

Situated seven miles north of Nottingham, Hucknall was historically a centre for framework knitting and then mining, and when both industries were in their heyday it was a thriving market town. Close access to the A611 and M1 junction 27, as well as being prominently positioned on the Nottingham Express Transit tram system, give Hucknall great city centre links. In the early 1950s, the Rolls-Royce site there developed the world’s first vertical take-off jet aircraft.

Our branch is centrally positioned on High Street, close to shops, a pharmacy, an optician and beauty salon. The team are available to discuss savings accounts or talk about financial planning, offering advice on a range of subjects. They can also help with finding you the right mortgage through Mortgage Advice Bureau, or help arrange a home insurance policy.

Robert, October 2025

"Nottingham Building Society is a much needed asset to my local high street. I always receive excellent service and best of all is the fact I can call in to branch and talk to an actual person, which seems to be getting quite rare in these modern technical times. The staff at my branch are so friendly and very knowledgeable and professional. I come away feeling that I am valued as a customer."

Eric - October 2025

"Every time I go into branch I always feel welcome and always asked if I would like a drink, which I feel is a lovely touch. Everybody's very obliging and nothing is too much trouble whether I need advice or withdraw money. I also love how you still use passbooks as this is my personal preference."
