Nottingham Building Society's Wisbech branch

A fenland town situated either side of the River Nene in Cambridgeshire, Wisbech is also within just a few miles of Lincolnshire and Norfolk. Close access to the A47 and A1101 provides transport links to nearby towns Chatteris and March. Attractions in Wisbech include the town’s castle, Peckover House and gardens and the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, which features a Charles Dickens manuscript.

Our Wisbech branch is based in a central location on Bridge Street, close to a coffee shop, opticians, restaurants and post office. The team are able to guide you through our range of savings accounts, including ISAs and fixed rate products. They are also on hand to help with finding a mortgage through our mortgage broker service, provided by Nottingham Mortgage Services, or help you buy or sell a property, arrange a funeral plan or chat to you about estate planning.

Services available at our branch include:

  • Building society
  • Estate agency
  • Mortgage advisers
  • Insurance
  • Estate planning
  • Financial planning

Bite-sized fact: It’s apt that Wisbech is home to a National Trust property in Peckover House, as trust co-founder Octavia Hill (1838-1912) was born in the town.

Wisbech is located near: Chatteris, Downham Market, Ely, Holbeach, Huntingdon, King’s Lynn, March, Market Deeping, Peterborough and Spalding.

Our mortgages are great. But depending on your circumstances there may not be one that’s just right for you. So when you come to Nottingham Mortgage Services for a mortgage, we’ll search over 60 lenders to find a deal that is.

Savings

ISAs, fixed rates and easy access accounts, or savings ideas to get your little ones started. We have a range of savings accounts to suit everyone. We're also one of only three building societies to offer a Lifetime ISA - our award winning account is a great savings account available to those between 18 - 39 years of age saving for their first home or retirement.

Future planning

Families are everything so it’s important that they’re taken care of when you’re no longer around. We offer help with inheritance tax and life insurance provided by Wren Sterling as well as funeral plans provided by Dignity.

Wisbech branch in the news

From branch… to branches!

Tidying up trees and sweeping leaves were just a couple of the tasks undertaken at a Wisbech charity by Wisbech branch colleagues.

Green-fingered Patricia Smith, Emilie Yerrell, Shane Spriggs, Tracy Young and Tracey Palmer volunteered to help the Ferry Project with a spot of gardening.

The charity prides itself on providing accommodation for those who need it, and supporting them in gaining the skills they need to enable them to live independently.

That’s something that fits very well with the overarching ethos of The Nottingham - to help people put a roof over their heads and enjoy a more secure financial future.
